June 3, Fineko/abc.az. The total volume of natural gas supplied from Azerbaijan accounts for over 60% of Bulgaria's annual consumption.

ABC.AZ reports that Bulgarian Deputy Energy Minister Kiril Temelkov made the above-said statement during the Baku Energy Week.

"Under a long-term contract between two state-owned companies, Bulgaria provides a significant portion of the natural gas supplies for domestic consumption in our country. The total volume of natural gas supplied to our country from Azerbaijan accounts for over 60% of our annual consumption. Part of this volume is also distributed to the markets of neighboring countries, making Azerbaijan a reliable and important partner for both Bulgaria and our neighboring countries," Temelkov said.
