June 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) has released data on the producer price index (PPI) in the European Union (EU) and the Eurozone for April 2026.
ABC.AZ informs that according to statistical data, the PPI in the EU increased by 0.7% in April compared to the previous month and by 4.9% compared to April 2025.
In the Eurozone, producer prices rose 0.6% month-on-month and 4.8% year-on-year in April. These figures fully coincided with market expectations, which had forecast growth in the Eurozone by 0.6% for the month and by 4.8% for the year.
Major changes among EU countries:
The largest monthly increases were in Denmark (3%), Croatia (2.7%) and Belgium (2.4%).
Decrease in monthly terms: France (-2.1%), Estonia (-0.8%) and Sweden (-0.3%).
The largest annual growth: Bulgaria (14.5%), Lithuania (13.1%) and Romania (11.5%).
Decrease in annual terms: Luxembourg (-3.7%), Estonia (-1.2%), the Greek Community of Cyprus (-0.7%) and Latvia (-0.6%).
