June 2, Fineko/abc.az. Russian agencies have been instructed to work out measures to stabilize the fuel market, including possible tightening of export restrictions and expansion of supplies of petroleum products from Belarus.
ABC.AZ reports that the initiatives are being discussed against the background of a reduction in stocks and a drop in fuel trading volumes at the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange: sales of gasoline AI-92 declined by 26%, AI-95 - by 43%, diesel fuel - by 17%.
Among the proposals is an increase in fuel imports from Belarusian refineries with possible adjustment of the mechanism of damping payments, including retroactively. Those measures, according to sources, are aimed at balancing the domestic market of petroleum products.
