April 8, Fineko/abc.az. Baku Metro continues to expand the green line as part of the development of the capital's transport infrastructure.
ABC.AZ reports that the head of the construction project management department, Mammad Rzayev, told journalists about this.
He noted that the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has allocated approx. $700 million to finance the project.
According to Rzayev, at the expense of the allocated finances, it is planned to build four new metro stations on the green line: "These stations, as continuation of the existing line, will be located in the northern and northwestern directions of the capital, including in the areas after Darnagul station and in the direction of Khojasan. The project will connect new and rapidly expanding residential areas to the metro network, as well as reduce traffic congestion. The tender procedures for the project should be completed by the end of the year. The results will be made public."
