December 18, Fineko/abc.az. By the end of this year, total cargo transportation in the Baku International Seaport is expected to reach 8 million tons.

ABC.AZ reports that the director of the Baku port, Eldar Salakhov, told journalists about this.

According to Salakhov, the goals for the coming years are more ambitious: "The technical potential, material and technical base and professional staff of the port allow us to achieve better results. Last year, container transshipment was around 76,000 TEU, but this year it is expected that this figure will exceed 100,000 and reach 104,000-105,000 TEU. This is close to 40% more than last year."
