August 6, Fineko/abc.az. As of August 1, 2025, the number of active taxpayers grew by 2.1% compared with the beginning of the year and reached 823,900, the quantity of active VAT-payers by 5.8% up to 55,800, and the number of active business entities (facilities) by 4.3% up to 226,800.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, that the number of registered new-generation cash registers was 111,800 and the quantity of registered POS-terminals – 140,700.
