June 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Shipyard has commenced construction on the first container ship for Kazakhstan as part of a joint cooperation with Kazmortransflot and Abu Dhabi Ports.

ABC.AZ reports that the vessels, measuring approximately 149.5 meters in length with a capacity of 780 TEU, are designed for operations across the Caspian Sea. The completion of two container ships is scheduled before the end of 2027, supporting the ongoing development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
