June 4, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey plans to increase the capacity of renewable energy to 120,000 MW by 2035, having invested about $80 bn in solar and wind projects, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
By 2025, the figure will be 40,000 MW. An additional 5,000 MW is also planned due to offshore wind power. According to the president, development of renewable energy sources is a matter not only of the economy, but also of national security amid global crises.
