June 2, Fineko/abc.az. Belarus is counting on broader industrial cooperation with Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Natalia Petkevich made the above-said statement at the Belarusian-Azerbaijani business forum.

"The economies of our countries are capable and mutually complement each other. We supply a number of products that Azerbaijan needs. These are food products, woodworking, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, and pharmaceuticals. On the other hand, we receive products from our partners in Azerbaijan. These are not only delicious fruits, nuts, wine, cognac, etc., but also polymer raw materials and other products," she said.

According to Petkevich, Azerbaijan and Belarus currently have a joint tractor assembly plant, and the product range will expand.

"We look forward to broader industrial cooperation. Today we have big projects in Karabakh. We are building and designing an agro-town with complete infrastructure, with an agricultural enterprise, and this is a great honor for us. We are ready to make an appropriate contribution in order to establish production facilities in Azerbaijan with participation of Belarusian companies. I am sure this business forum will be another step towards expanding and deepening our cooperation," she underlined.
