June 2, Fineko/abc.az. Baku has the potential to become one of the new global energy centers due to its professional potential and technological capabilities in the energy sector.

ABC.AZ reports that Joe Cristofoli, BP's regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, said this during panel discussions at the Baku Energy Forum.

He noted that the advanced technologies used in the energy sector of Azerbaijan, as well as the emerging professional personnel base, are already attracting international attention.

"Companies established in Azerbaijan offering AI-based solutions bring their experience to international markets. Baku is on its way to becoming the new Houston today. 4D seismic surveys, AI and other innovative technologies are used at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field for effective production management. The main condition for success in the energy sector is combination of technologies, human capital and cooperation," the BP representative emphasized.
