June 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has very ambitious plans on the use of wind energy in the Caspian Sea, and the EU also plans to cooperate in the future in the field of clean electricity trade through the green energy corridor.

ABC.AZ informs that the statement was made at the 31st Baku Energy Forum by Cristina Lobillo Borrero, Director of the Energy Platform and International Relations Group at the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission (ENER).

She noted that the European region is facing a second energy crisis, which is currently more global in nature:

"High energy prices are currently affecting the EU. First, we want to accelerate decarbonization. We have very ambitious and clear goals to achieve decarbonization by 2050. The EU must create locally produced energy sources. This means both renewable energy sources and nuclear energy. Because the more we import from abroad, the more we are exposed to shortages and volatility in the international market."
