May 15, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2026, Azerbaijan's foreign trade balance amounted to $2.14 bn.
ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that in general, foreign trade turnover reached $10.15 bn, including exports for $6.14 bn and imports for $4 bn.
$862 million of exports accounted for non-oil/gas products. At the same time, non-oil/gas exports grew by 12% at current prices, but decreased by 22% in real terms.
Compared with Jan-Apr 2025, in real terms, wheat imports increased by 29.1%, fresh fruits by 5.7%, buses 2.5-fold, ferrous metal pipes by 4.4%, computers and equipment by 9.8%.
At the same time, imports of chocolate and chocolate products dropped by 17.0%, butter and other milk fats and pastes by 24.9%, raw sugar by 19.0%, passenger cars by 36.2%, medicines by 34.3%, rolled steel by 17.1%, and shoes by 8.1%.
