April 24, Fineko/abc.az. The transit traffic along the Middle Corridor has tripled in five years.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, by 2030 the figure is to increase up to 300,000 containers a year.

A container hub and a shipping management system have already been built in the port of Aktau, while dredging and infrastructure modernization have been carried out in the port of Kuryk. A number of projects are to be completed by the end of the year, including development of terminals and the renovation of berths.

At the same time, digital solutions are introduced and tugboats are purchased to integrate ports into a single system of the Middle Corridor, a key route between China and Europe through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.
