February 23, Fineko/abc.az. Butter production in Azerbaijan at local factories decreased by 13.2% in January 2025.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that only 1,904.4 tons of butter were made in January.

Azerbaijan imported 20,130 tons of butter for $145.31 million. Compared with 2024, imports declined by 18%, from 24,510 tons to 20,130 tons.

However, the total cost grew by 4%, up to $145.31 million from $139.51 million.

The average import price of a ton of butter increased from $5,690 up to $7,220, and the annual growth was 26.91%.

Nevertheless, while the production of liquid butter observed growth by 15.6% up to 4,576.6 tons a year, margarine production fell by 28.5% to 3,700.6 tons.
