February 18, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, 294 licenses (including a licensed application) for fast mail services were issued in Azerbaijan and 38 licenses (a licensed application) cancelled.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the report of the Agency for Information & Communication Technologies (IKTA) for 2025.

According to the document, the total number of licenses for this type of service has reached 1,122.

IKTA conducted a review of 269 facilities and issued relevant reviews, 265 of which were positive and 4 were negative.

The agency reports that the number of postal operators in Azerbaijan has increased 2.3-fold over the past 5 years (2020-2025) and reached 285.

IKTA notes that in 2025, the postal sector of Azerbaijan grew by 32%, and points to the growing interest in e-purchases as the main reason for this development.
