February 18, Fineko/abc.az. The use of facial recognition technologies in Azerbaijan is also possible in economic zones, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Fariz Jafarov, the executive director of the Center for Analysis & Coordination of the IV Industrial Revolution (4SIM) under the Ministry of Economy.
He added that artificial intelligence-based facial recognition systems can become an effective tool for automating I/O control in economic zones, improving security and optimizing operational processes.
Jafarov noted that with the help of these technologies, identification of employees at enterprises and in the production sector can be accelerated, and the licensing regime can be organized in a more transparent and manageable form: "At the same time, it is possible to reduce the risks associated with the human factor and expand the possibilities of operational decision-making. The introduction of facial recognition technology and other biometric solutions serves to deepen digital transformation in industrial parks, modernize management processes, and create a generally competitive environment."
He emphasized that the goal is to gradually introduce AI-based technologies in economic zones and increase the availability of innovative solutions for entrepreneurs.
