December 22, Fineko/abc.az. China began operation of the world's first intelligent ultra-large oil tanker powered by methanol

ABC.AZ infoms that tanker Kaito was independently designed and built by China, state-owned enterprise Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co Ltd (CSSC DSIC).

The tanker is nearly 333 m long and is capable of carrying approx. 2.1 million barrels of crude oil. Kaito is characterized by low emissions and intelligent control capabilities, and in the future, the tanker will serve the route to the Middle East, in particular.
