November 28, Fineko/abc.az. Customs post "Logistics Center" of the Main Customs Administration of Air Transport carries out customs clearance of import, export and transit cargo.
ABC.AZ informs that customs post’s head Rovshan Mahmudzade stated about this during a press tour that took place in the very center.
He added that customs clearance is carried out through the Automated Risk Analysis System (ARAS). This system determines the need for cargo inspection based on special indicators: "During the inspection, goods are checked for compliance with legislation. After confirmation of compliance, the goods are released into the country, and if violations are detected, appropriate measures are taken.
"Mahmudzade said that 80 tons of import, 5 tons of export and 600 tons of transit and transfer cargo are processed at the customs post of the Logistics Center on average per day.
"Import, export and transit cargoes are mainly transported by air carriers. The main destinations of the transported goods are the USA, European countries and the UAE," he said.
