November 18, Fineko/abc.az. The water level in the water storage reservoirs of Istanbul dropped to 21.5% of the norm.

With daily water consumption of 3 million cu m in a 16-million-strong metropolis, it will last for about 50 days in the current situation, ABC.AZ reports, referring to authoritative Turkish meteorologist Orhan Shen.

"In November, the occupancy rate of local reservoirs should exceed 30%, but this year it did not happen. The precipitation that fell last week covered only the daily consumption of the city. No precipitation is expected for at least five days in Istanbul this week, and the water level in reservoirs has dropped to 21.5%," the expert said.

"During the week, the volume of water suitable for consumption decreased from 200 to 185 million cu m and continues to decrease. With daily water consumption of 3 million cu m in Istanbul, it will last for about 50 days," the expert said.
