October 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Neftchala Industrial Quarter is fully filled.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting  Elchin Kazimov, the press secretary of the Economic Zones Development Agency, that the main activities of the residents of the first quarter in Azerbaijan are fishing, food industry, automotive industry, feed production and other industries.

"In the quarter, 6 business entities with investment portfolio of more than 63 million manats received resident status, of which 5 are active. The favorable investment environment has been created for entrepreneurs here. Residents are provided with ready-made infrastructure and buildings at the expense of public funds. All of them received an investment promotion document, which allows them to enjoy many benefits. Entrepreneurs invested approx. 50 million manats in the quarter and created more than 300 permanent jobs," Kazimov said.

According to Agency's representative, so far, residents of the quarter have sold products worth 230 million manats, of which 1.8 million manats account for exports.

"In the 1st half of this year, output worth 19 million manats was produced here, which is 4-fold more versus Jan-Jun 2024. The manufactured output is not only sold at the domestic market, but also exported under brand Made in Azerbaijan to Iraq, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries. Fish feed and electrodes are mainly exported," Kazimov said.
