ADSEA rep: We work on restoration of Ümid Günəşi irrigation center

October 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan, together with international donors and private companies, is working on the rehabilitation of the Umid Günəşi irrigation center.

ABC.AZ reports that Aliaga Azizov, head of the sector of the State Agency for Water Resources of Azerbaijan (ADSEA), made this statement at the Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW2025).

He pointed out that most of the wastewater is being treated at the Center, and further expansion of these capacities is planned in the coming years: "We intend to ensure the purification and reuse of more water by increasing the capacity of this Center. The goal is to create additional resources for both drinking water and agriculture."

Agency's rep noted that water reuse and purification is one of the main innovative directions of the National Water Strategy, and new projects are planned in this area.
