September 19, Fineko/abc.az. The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the research and analysis division of The Economist Group, has improved its inflation forecast for Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that EIU has predicted that the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan will not exceed 5% in 2025-2027.

The Economist expects inflation in Azerbaijan to be 4.5% in 2025, 4.6% in 2026, and 4.7% in 2027. In other words, inflation is predicted to be within the target range of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (4±2%).

The draft budget for 2026 projects average annual inflation in Azerbaijan at 5.4% this year, 4.8% in 2026, 4.5% in 2027, 4.3% in 2028, and 4.2% in 2029.

In 2024, average annual inflation in Azerbaijan was 2.2%.
