Germany to increase borrowing to cover costs

September 19, Fineko/abc.az. The German authorities will increase borrowings in the 4th quarter by 20% up to 90.5 bn euros to finance infrastructure and defense spending.

ABC.AZ informs that additionally, government bonds worth 10.5 billion euros will be placed, including the sale of 7-year securities worth 3 bn euros in October. Demand for German bonds is growing amid the budget crisis in France, but it was decided to cancel the issue of 50-year bonds because of low investor interest.
