September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Regular negotiations between the Azerbaijani government and the government of Kazakhstan on the Draft Convention on the Prevention of Double Taxation with respect to income and property and on the prevention of tax evasion were held in Astana, Kazakhstan.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Tax Service, that STS experts and an authorized representative of the Ministry of Finance took part in the negotiations on behalf of Azerbaijan and authorized representatives of the Ministry of Finance on behlf of Kazakhstan.

As a result of the discussion, agreement was reached on most of the Draft Convention provisions relating to taxation. Negotiations were held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, and both sides agreed to step up efforts to coordinate as soon as possible those articles that remain open.

During the visit, there was also exchange of views with officials of the National Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan on the topic "transfer prices". During the discussions, experience of both countries on transfer prices was reviewed and an agreement was reached to strengthen cooperation between the relevant organizations in this sphere in the future.
