Azerbaijan undertakes a new commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

September 15, Fineko/abc.az. Emissions from agriculture in Azerbaijan account for about 20% of Azerbaijan's total greenhouse gas emissions, and the Ministry of Agriculture has committed to significantly reducing this share by 2030 through the introduction of renewable energy sources and climate-friendly methods.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Ministry, that the head of the MoA administration office, Azad Jafarli, made the relevant statement at the Global Forum on Green Agriculture in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

He also drew attention to the COP29 event held in Baku last year and recalled that Azerbaijan has made a new commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Within the events, a range of bilateral meetings, exchange of views with experts and exchange of experience were also conducted.
