September 12, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and Armenia are benefiting from an anticipated decline in regional geopolitical risks, while Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are showing growth above expectations.
According to ABC.AZ, citing Report, the banking group ING Group reports that the economies of CIS countries remain resilient amid global challenges.
ING analysts note that the signing of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan could be an important positive factor for sentiment; however, the economic impact in Armenia will depend on the practical implementation of the agreements.
According to ING Group, Azerbaijan’s economy in 2025 is exhibiting more moderate growth compared to the previous year. In July, GDP contracted by 2.3% after growing 1.5% year-on-year during January–June. Analysts observe that economic momentum is slowing somewhat after a strong 2024, despite stimulating fiscal and credit policies.
