Inflation in Georgia reaches 2-year high

September 3, Fineko/abc.az. In August, Georgia’s annual inflation reached 4.6%, while monthly inflation stood at 0.3%.

ABC.AZ reports that the largest price increases were recorded for lemons (+99%), plums (+82%), and peaches (+62%), with food and non-alcoholic beverages rising by 10% overall.

In the healthcare sector, prices increased by 9.3%. At the same time, transportation costs fell by 2.4%, and some vegetable prices decreased: tomatoes (-33%), cucumbers (-31%), and eggplants (-16%).
