Annual inflation in Türkiye declines again

September 3, Fineko/abc.az – Annual inflation in Türkiye has declined again.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute, that annual inflation stood at 32.95% in August this year. In July, the figure was 33.52%. Consumer prices in August rose by 2.04% compared to the previous month.

Over the past year, prices increased by 33.28% for food and non-alcoholic beverages, 24.86% for transport, and 53.27% for housing.

In October 2022, inflation in Türkiye reached its highest level in 24 years at 85.5%, while last year the peak level (75.45%) was recorded in May.
