December 19, Fineko/abc.az. After the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, it is very important to restore peace and stability and put an end to the civil conflict in the country, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Azerbaijani PM Ali Asadov as saying this at the 11th D-8 summit in Cairo.

He confirmed Azerbaijan's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria:

"We hope all issues will be resolved in accordance with the will of the Syrian people and through internal political dialogue. Azerbaijan will provide all possible support in overcoming the humanitarian problems faced by the Syrian people. We continue close contacts with fraternal Turkey for practical steps in this direction."
