 November 22, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani-made Istiglal sniper rifle is in service of the armies of Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Jordan, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Senior Lieutenant Beybala Bagirbeyli, a soldier of the border guard of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.

According to Bagirbeyli, the weapon has been successfully used in combat operations. He stressed that the sale of Istiglal is limited and only to certain countries.

"The caliber of the rifle is 14.5 mm, the aiming range using a mechanical and optical sight reaches 2,000 m," Bagirbeyli noted.
