June 17, Fineko/abc.az. Citi analysts lowered their forecast for the average price of Brent crude oil to $75 per barrel in the 3rd quarter and to $70 in the 4th quarter, expecting the restoration of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz after the agreement between the United States and Iran.
ABC.AZ informs that earlier, forecasts were significantly higher - up to $110 and $90, respectively.
Expectations for 2027 have also been lowered to $65 per barrel.
Goldman Sachs and other banks have also revised down their forecasts, although Morgan Stanley maintains higher estimates. At the same time, Barclays left an optimistic forecast at about $100 per barrel in 2026, expecting shortage of supply and decrease in oil reserves.
