May 22, Fineko/abc. (special news) When choosing an insurance company, clients should not focus solely on the price factor, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Turana Akhundova, Deputy Executive Director of the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan.
She noted that important criteria are financial stability, the reputation of payments, customer service, terms of the contract, the level of digitalization and the behavior of the company in the market: "Company's capital, its reputation in the market, long-term operations and solvency are of particular importance. Promptness and trouble-free payments in insurance cases are one of the main indicators. At the same time, 24/7 support, quick response to requests, digital services and transparent communication are considered serious advantages in the modern era."
She underlined that a cheap product does not always mean a good product: it is necessary to carefully study the exceptions, limits and cases of refusal in contracts. According to Akhundova, companies with strong international reinsurance partners manage large risks more reliably. Mobile applications and the possibility of online access have also become important factors of choice.
"Problems with the regulator, frequent complaints, or opaque campaigns can be risk signals. After all, the main thing in insurance is company's real solvency and its attitude towards the client in the event of an insured event," she concluded.
