April 29, Fineko/abc.az. Changes will be made to the rules for preventing illegal damage during customs control.
ABC.AZ informs that this is reflected in the draft amendments to the Customs Code, discussed at today’s meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
According to the draft law, customs authorities and their officials are required to provide compensation for damage caused to individuals or legal entities as a result of illegal actions (inaction), as well as making decisions that do not comply with regulatory legal acts, in accordance with the procedure established by law.
The current legislation stipulates that customs authorities and their officials who have caused illegal damage are liable in accordance with the law.
