April 29, Fineko/abc.az. Nakhchivan's share in the country's economy is growing, and this trend is expected to accelerate further in the coming years.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov made the relevant statement at the event on the theme  "Entrepreneurship Development - Strong Economy" in Baku.

According to the minister, the Zangezur Corridor in this regard will make significant contribution to the accelerated development of the region.

"Nakhchivan's economic potential is expected to grow and its role in the country's economy to strengthen. We believe the opening of the Zangezur Corridor will definitely have positive impact in this direction. At the same time, introduction of tax incentives and formation of a special tax regime by the State as a preventive measure create additional incentives for this process," the minister said.

Jabbarov pointed out that the steps being taken contribute to growth of economic activity in the region and improvement of the investment climate.
