April 14, Fineko/abc.az. Naftalan, known not only in our country, but also all over the world, is famous for its unique oil with medicinal properties. This oil has no analogues in the world and is used in the treatment of more than 70 diseases. Its role in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, neurological, vascular, urological, gynecological and skin diseases is especially important.

ABC.AZ informs that there are currently 20 hotels and health centers in Naftalan that meet international standards, 3 of which are five-star.

Tourist facilities can serve more than 4,000 guests per day. This is one of the highest rates in terms of the number of overnight stays among the regions after Baku.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of tourists visiting Naftalan. In 2025 alone, the city received more than 44,000 tourists, of which 18,000 were foreigners from 53 countries. Top 3 in terms of the number of visitors are tourists from the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The growth of the tourist flow continued in the first quarter of 2026: in 3 months, Naftalan was visited by more than 8,821 people, of whom 3,222 were foreign tourists.
