March 31, Fineko/abc.az. New projects for the establishment of large industrial enterprises in the Alat Free Economic Zone will be announced in the near future. These projects will further enhance the investment attractiveness of the free zone and give an impetus to the expansion of export-oriented production, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Valeh Aleskerov, the chairman of board of the AFEZ authorized body.

He spoke about the attractiveness of the AFEZ, investors of interest to the organization, new projects and other issues.

First, Aleskerov talked about the history of the creation of the free zone, as well as its attractiveness, and said that all important points had been taken into account here: "If these factors had not been taken into account, the creation of such a zone would have been impossible. For greater attractiveness, the experience of free economic zones operating not only in the countries of the region, but also in a wider geographical area has been studied, their legislation, conditions and reasons for success and failure have been analyzed. So, today there are more than 4,500 free economic zones in the world, but not all of them can be considered successful."
