February 24, Fineko/abc.az. This January, trade transactions between Azerbaijan and Germany totaled $94.9 million ($188.5 million, or 3-fold less versus January 2025), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

The share of trade turnover with Germany in Azerbaijan's GDP made up 2.68%. Thus, Germany ranked 6th among the countries with the largest trade turnover with Azerbaijan last month.

In January 2026, Azerbaijan as a whole carried out foreign trade operations with foreign countries for $3.538 billion ($1.5 billion, or 30.5% less against January 2025).

Exports was carried out for $2.236 billion and imports for $1.302 billion for January 2026.  Decline of $802 million, or 26.4% was reported on exports and by $750 million, or 36.5% on imports.

As a result, positive balance of $933.6 million was formed in foreign trade ($52.4 million, or 5.3% less than in January 2025).
