February 10, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, nearly 195,000 tourists arrived in Azerbaijan from the Persian Gulf countries. The expenses incurred by these tourists in Azerbaijan amounted to approx. 399 million manats.

ABC.AZ reports that compared with 2024, the tourist flow in the Persian Gulf region has decreased by around 6% and spending by about 12%.

This is stated in the figures of the State Statistics Committee. The number of tourists from Saudi Arabia in 2025 was close to 102,000 people (nearly 7% more than a year earlier).

Tourist expenses totaled 208 million manats and increased almost by 8% versus 2024.

The number of tourists from the UAE reached 43,000 people (a drop of about 5% versus 2024). Tourist expenses totaled 90 million manats and decreased by about 18% against 2024.

The number of tourists who arrived in Azerbaijan from Kuwait in 2025 amounted to 26,000 people. This figure declined by close to 16% compared with the previous year. And the expenses of tourists from Kuwait amounted to 55 million manats (about 22%).
