December 22, Fineko/abc.az. Baku Metro CJSC ended 2024 with loss of 139.616 million manats (81.6% more than in 2023), ABC.AZ reports with reference to company’s financial statements.
Thus, the accumulated damage to the subway increased by 4.7% and reached 3.109 billion manats.
Last year, Baku Metro's revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 100.647 million manats (20.6% more than a year earlier), revenue from government subsidies - 50 million manats (30.2% more), other operating income - 5,008 million manats (4.4% less), depreciation of fixed assets - 148.012 million manats (86.6% more), staff costs - 86.284 million manats (15.4% more), electricity costs - 13.934 million manats (3.7% more), depreciation and amortisation costs 12.218 million manats (0.3% more), materials costs - 11.37 million manats manats (by 50.8% more), commission costs - 5.032 million manats (by 20.6% more), cleaning costs - 4.09 million manats (by 8.9% more), water costs - 3,392 million manats (by 11% less), reserve costs for goods and materials with a slow cycle - 3.085 million manats (no increase in the previous year), fuel costs - 902,000 manats (29.4% more), insurance costs - 362,000 manats (38.4% less), other expenses - 5.492 million manats (89.5% more), finance costs - 722,000 manats (8.7% less), net loss from foreign currency exchange - 376,000 manats (6.3-fold more).
As of January 1, 2025, the assets of the Baku Metro amounted to 418.818 million manats (1% more than a year ago). Metro's liabilities grew by 34% up to 33.287 million manats, while its balance sheet capital decreased by 1.1% to 385.531 million manats.
