August 11, Fineko/abc.az. "If we talk about provision of humanitarian rather than military assistance to Ukraine by Azerbaijan, then this is an absolutely normal step."

ABC.AZ informs that this opinion was expressed by Svetlana Zhurova, deputy chairman of the State Duma for International Affairs.

Earlier it became known that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has allocated $2 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. According to the document, the funds will be used to purchase and ship electrical equipment manufactured in Azerbaijan.

"There is nothing like that, they are not providing military assistance, but are involved in restoring peaceful life. Especially if they have the equipment, it's good — people need to live anyway. Russia is not going to worsen the lives of civilians. Military objectives are another matter, but as far as people and peaceful life are concerned, of course, this is normal," the MP shared.
