July 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has the right to file a lawsuit in the International Court of Justice against the Russian Federation over the plane crash, Moscow will wait for official verdicts.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov in response to a question from Kommersant.

"Investigative actions and proceedings are underway. If Azerbaijan makes a decision, it is their right, and we will expect the official verdicts that will follow. Currently, a difficult period continues in relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, but Moscow hopes that this period will pass."

He added that law-abiding immigrants from Azerbaijan enjoy "well-deserved respect" in Russia, and it is important for Moscow that Russians in the Caucasian country be treated the same way.
