April 10, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani Deputy PM Shahin Mustafayev and Iranian Minister of Roads & Urban Development Farzana Sadegh jointly inspected the current joint infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Agbend Bridge and the Goradiz-Agbend railway.

ABC.AZ reports that during the visit, plans to commission the Agbend Bridge in early 2026 and simplify its operation were reviewed. It was decided that the construction of the bridge on the border should be completed and ready to open by November of this year.

An agreement was also reached on the necessary measures for the temporary operation of the border terminal located on the territory of Iran and on putting the terminal into operation at full capacity until 2026.

In addition, it is planned to restore the movement of both freight and passenger transport by the end of this year.
