February 5, Fineko/abc.az. The World Economic Forum has included the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Top 20 of the most actively developing tourist destinations in the world, specifying that 29.2 million foreign travelers visited the country in 2024.

At the same time, the UAE retained its regional leadership in the WEF ranking. By 2033, the volume of tourist traffic is expected to grow to 45.5 million people. The UAE has adopted a tourism development strategy, which aims to attract 100 billion dirhams of investments in development of the industry and increase the tourist flow to 40 million people by 2031.

The UAE is the only Middle Eastern country in Top 10 of countries in the world that receive the most revenue from the tourism sector. At that, the peak tourist season is winter, that is, the cool season.
