January 31, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey received a record revenue from the tourism sector in the amount of $61.1 bn in 2024.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the estimates of the statistical office of Turkey, country's income from tourism in 2024 was 8.3% higher than in the previous year.

Of this income, $60.497 bn were received from tourists, and $606.4 million - from transfer trips, the report says.

Last year, 64.9% of those who visited Turkey came to the country for the purpose of walking, sports and cultural events.

17% of them are Turkish citizens living abroad.
