January 23, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia's tourism revenues in 2024 achieved a record of $4.425 billion (7.3% more than in 2023),
ABC.AZ reports, quoting First Deputy PM and Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili.
"According to available statistics, government's forecast for revenue growth and the tourism sector in 2024 has been justified," Davitashvili said.
In the 4th quarter, income from tourist trips to the country grew by 10.3% year-on-year, up to $963.7 million.
The Georgian Ministry of Economy notes an increase in income from tourists from Israel (up to $128.3 million), from Azerbaijan (up to $25.8 million), from Iran (up to $22.9 million), from the European Union (up to $21.6 million) and from Saudi Arabia (up to $21.4 million).
