January 7, Fineko/abc.az. Indonesia has joined BRICS as a full member of the community, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The Brazilian government announces today, January 6, the official accession of the Republic of Indonesia to the BRICS as a full member," MFA’s statement says.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry informed that starting in 2025, a number of states will join the BRICS as partner countries of the community, Indonesia was named among them. Other partners announced are Belarus, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda and Uzbekistan.
