February 27, Fineko/abc.az. The procedure of hotel star assignment may become compulsory in the future.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Azerbaijan Hotels Association’s general director Gunay Saglam at a press conference.

She noted that in this regard, the State Tourism Agency has already prepared a project and submitted it to the relevant structures.

Saglam stressed that currently hotels themselves apply for stars, but in the future it will be carried out in a different form: "We’re currently developing a platform. If such a law appears in the future, hotels will be able to apply to this platform."
