March 6, Fineko/abc.az. Analytical agency Turstat presented the best Russian and foreign cities, popular for traveling on the holiday weekend of 8 March.

The rating is based on the results of an online survey of tourists.

Turstat reports that Top 10 of cities for traveling on 8 March includes St. Petersburg, Paris, Sochi, Rome, Astana, Moscow, Yaroslavl, Minsk, Prague, and Yalta.

"22% of the votes was given to St. Petersburg as the best city among tourists for the March 8 weekend, 18% to Paris (France), 10% to resort city Sochi, 9% to Rome (Italy), 8% to Astana (Kazakhstan), for the capital of Russia, by 6% to Moscow and capital of "Golden Ring of Russia" Yaroslavl, by 5% to Minsk (Belarus) and Prague (Czech Republic), and 4% to resort city  Yalta,” the agency informed.

The rating also includes Baku, Berlin, Yerevan, Kazan and Tallinn, which were given 1-2% of the vote.

International Women's Day 8 March is a holiday in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), including Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Armenia, and is celebrated by the United Nations (UN).
