February 25, Fineko/abc.az. Preferences of Azerbaijani tourists have been called.

The State Statistics Committee reports that last month the rate of citizens leaving the country increased by 19.3% up to 357,100 people.

"35% of the population left for Iran, 8% for Georgia, 20.9% for Russia, 10.2% for Turkey, 1.2% for Ukraine, 1.1% for the UAE, and 3.6% for other countries," the Committee informed.

The SSC reported that the rate of visitors to Iran for January increased by 75.2%, to Russia by 6.5%, and Georgia by 2.5%, while the number of visitors to Turkey declined by 2.6%.

It should be noted that Azerbaijanis go to Iran mainly for the purpose of treatment in Iranian clinics.
