June 17, Fineko/abc.az. For the first time, a food subsidy for livestock will be introduced in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that Deputy Minister of Agriculture Zaur Aliyev made the relevant statement at a regional meeting in Agjabedi district dedicated to discussing the State Program 2026-2030 for development of production & processing of agricultural, fisheries and aquaculture products.

The deputy minister noted that specific amounts of subsidies will be determined at a meeting of the Council on Agricultural Subsidies in the near future. Dairy products are subsidized for cattle. Also, within the State Program, it is planned to subsidize meat produced in slaughterhouses, provided that certain requirements are met in farms that have joined the model of specialized farms. In addition, in order to stimulate involvement of leather raw materials in the processing processes and create added value, it is planned to provide benefits for the equipment of leather collection points, as well as introduction of certain subsidies directly for the leather itself.
